Blog is the shortened version of Weblog. It is generally thought of as a journal; however, often it can be an in depth analysis. The New York Times on February 14, 2005 had this to say:
“With the resignation Friday of a top news executive from CNN, bloggers have laid claim to a prominent media career for the second time in five months. “
... Edward Morrissey wrote . . . “The moral of the story: the media can’t just cover up the truth and expect to get away with it – and journalists can’t just toss around allegations without substantiation and expect people to believe them anymore.”
The Idaho Examiner uses Blogs to give analysis, opinion, and in depth reporting to issues important to our readers. In addition, our Blogs allow comment which gives readers the ability to weigh in on any subject and give support or another viewpoint.
Finally, many of the articles will have a notice that says Comment after them. This is your opportunity to tell us what you think.
Fill out the form at the end of the article . . . it’s as easy as that.
Sometimes the comments can take some time to post. Try refreshing your screen or opening your browser again to see your posted comment. If you prefer to e-mail a letter to the editor please send it to letters@idahoexaminer.com .
