Gang Training 101 Seminar

The Pocatello/Chubbuck School District is pleased to partner with the Juvenile Justice Council in hosting a Gang 101 Seminar. The seminar is designed to target awareness, procedures, and strategies that can be used in our community and schools to combat gang activity.

This seminar, which is offered by the District 6 Juvenile Justice Council, will be led by Detectives Lex Bell and Jeremy Sharp, both gang experts from Salt Lake City. They will speak on such topics as bullying, effective community outreach, youth gangs, and more. They will also address issues such as growth of gangs in suburban areas, awareness, criminal activity, and current trends.

We would like to invite and encourage our entire community to become involved with us in combating gangs. If you would like to attend, this seminar will be held at Century High School, 7801 Diamondback Drive, on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 beginning at 1:00 p.m. There is no cost to participants. To register, or for more information, contact Sylvia Raumaker at (208) 236-6395 or email her at sylvia.raumaker@idjc.idaho.gov to register.
