CENTURY HIGH SCHOOL TO DISCONTINUE ITS FRESHMAN FOOTBALL AND GIRL’S JUNIOR VARSITY SOCCER PROGRAMS FOR THE 2007-2008 SCHOOL YEAR

Century High School has cancelled its freshman football and girl’s junior varsity soccer programs for the 2007-2008 school year. The school did not have enough students turn out to field those teams this year, and it is hoped that participation will increase and there will be enough student interest to field teams next year.

To ensure the students affected by this decision have the opportunity to participate, freshman football players have been moved up to the junior varsity football team and girl junior varsity soccer players have been moved up to the girl’s varsity soccer team.

The school’s athletic department will contact opponent schools to notify them of the change.
