Civil Service Commission

The City of Pocatello’s Civil Service Commission has an upcoming vacancy.

This volunteer commission concerns itself with employment matters regarding police officers and firefighters. The Commission operates under regulations established by State statutes and is responsible for, among other things, examination of applicants, appointments and promotions. Meetings are held on an as-needed basis and typically during business hours (8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.).

Interested persons living inside the Pocatello city limits can obtain an application by contacting the Mayor’s Office at 911 North 7th Avenue, visiting the Mayor/Council link at www.pocatello.us or by calling 234-6163.

Applications for membership must be received by May 9, 2008.
