Some Pocatello homeowners on Spalding Lane had quite a scare Monday afternoon.
Around 1:30 pm, Pocatello Fire Department responded to a call of a controlled burn out of control. Fort Hall Irrigation was burning the canal to clean it up, when the flames moved up to bordering homes. The fire didn’t get very far and was put out quickly. Firefighters said the wooded area will be smoking for awhile, but say it’s out for good. This fire is among the many controlled burns happening in our area right now.
