4th of July Liberty Fest in Idaho Falls

Pocatello calls the fireworks display there the “Biggest Show in Idaho.” But in Idaho Falls, the fireworks are put on by Melaleuca Inc., and the company says there’s no bigger show west of the Mississippi, including Seattle, San Francisco or even Los Angeles.

Melaleuca says the company has done the math, checked with other cities, and they say no one is doing what they’re doing — about 13,000 firework shells in 30 minutes.

Many people on the greenbelt staked out their spots hours ago, if not days ago. But before the show, many of them went to the greenbelt’s second annual Liberty Fest.
