High Gas Prices Mean High Box Office Sales

It’s a movie that is expected to break box office records. It’s been out in theatres since midnight Friday. It’s the new Batman movie, The Dark Knight. With the way the economy is going, are local people still heading to the movies?

It’s a movie that some people say they stayed up all night to catch – The Dark Knight. With the economy facing hard times when it comes to high gas prices along with high food prices, are people still willing to spend close to eight dollars or more for a movie ticket?

“Because the gas prices are too expensive just to go watch a movie. I’d rather sit home and watch a movie on TV then spend that much in gas.” says Tarrell Roper, who says movie prices are too high.
