IDAHO FALLS, ID: The Caribou-Targhee National Forests (C-T NF) is offering a prospectus for the campground and related Granger-Thye Concessions on the C-T NF. The permit will be issued for 5-years and is extendable for an additional 5-years, based upon performance. The application period opens on November 9, 2007 and will close on December 21, 2007 at 4:30 pm.
This prospectus is being issued to solicit applications for a concession campground special use permit. A permit to provide high-quality public service in the operation and maintenance of Government-owned recreation facilities located on the Palisades and Teton Basin Ranger Districts, C-T NF, will be issued. In the past, each district has authorized a separate campground concession permit. Both of those existing permits have expired or will expire on December 31, 2007. As a part of this prospectus, the two existing permits are being consolidated into a single campground concession permit. A campground and group site walk-through will be provided on November 30, 2007. The walk-through will be by reservations only and will start at the Teton Basin Ranger District, Driggs, Idaho in the morning and end on the Palisades Ranger District campgrounds in the afternoon. An agenda will be provided to those who make reservations. Some of these recreation sites may not be accessible on the date of the walk through.
