Rattlesnake Warning Idaho

Posted on: June 27, 2007

Reports have come in concerning high concentrations of rattlesnakes in the Hawkins reservoir area. The rocky terrain surrounding the reservoir seems to be infested with rattlers. At this time of the year snakes are very active and stay near rocks or brush for protection. For safety reasons, use a walking stick if you are out in areas like this to probe around. On another note, most residents do not know but killing a rattlesnake in the state of Idaho is an illegal offense as they are now protected by federal law.
