All hunters and wildlife enthusiasts are invited to participate in the upcoming Mule Deer Management Workshop scheduled for Saturday, August 4th, at Idaho State University in Pocatello. This free workshop sponsored by the Southeast Idaho Mule Deer Foundation and Sportsman’s Warehouse will run from 9:30 am until 3:00 pm in the Plant Sciences Lecture Hall, room 114.
Workshop participants will hear from mule deer experts, Dr. John Kie and Dr. Terry Bowyer, from ISU as well as mule deer management expert, Rick Kahn, from the Colorado Division of Wildlife.
Come to this workshop and learn about mule deer biology and behavior to improve your chances of hunting and viewing success, hear the results of the statewide mule deer hunter survey, and learn more about what the Mule Deer Initiative has been doing.
Best of all, the workshop will be highly interactive! We want you to ask questions and provide input throughout the event. Public input is a key step to revising the Statewide Mule Deer Management Plan this year, and attending this workshop will ensure that your voice is heard!
A free lunch is provided to those who attend, and there will be free drawings for great prizes at the end of the workshop.
Seating is limited, so to secure your reservation or if you need more information, please contact Fish and Game in Pocatello at 232-4703.
