The Idaho Fish and Game Commission at their July 2007 meeting approved a draft of the 2008-2009 fishing rule changes.
The public will have numerous opportunities to provide comment on these proposed changes until October 5th. A questionnaire will be mailed to a random sample of 900 fishing license holders statewide— 88 of which reside in southeast Idaho. Starting August 27th, anyone will be able to complete a fishing rule questionnaire on-line at Fish and Game’s website, fishandgame.idaho.gov. The questionnaire will also be available at the Fish and Game booth at the Eastern Idaho State Fair in Blackfoot the first week of September. In addition, an open house for the public will be held at the Southeast Idaho Regional Fish and Game Office located at 1345 Barton Road in Pocatello on September 18th from 7 am to 6 pm.
You may also provide comments to Regional Fishery Manager, Dick Scully, or Regional Fishery Biologist, David Teuscher, by phone (232-4703) or in person at the Pocatello Fish and Game office between now and October 5th.
Below are lists of the statewide and southeast region proposed rule changes. To see proposed rule changes for other regions, be sure to visit Fish and Game’s website beginning August 27th or call your nearest Fish and Game office.
