After over ten years of federal protection, gray wolves will be de-listed from the Federal Endangered Species Act on Friday.
Earlier in the week we told you about Wyoming’s Wolf Management Plan, where it will be fair game for hunters and ranchers in most parts of the state.
As far as Idaho’s plan, public meetings were held to gather input from people. Since then, the Idaho Fish and Game Commission has revised and approved it.
All of this leading up to the upcoming delisitng.
Remember back in 1995 the U.S. Fish and wildlife service restored the wolf to the Northern Rockies, releasing gray wolves captured in Canada into the Yellowstone National Park.
