Summer Science Snack classes – July 9 – 13; 16-20; 23-27; July 30-August 3

These series offer children an opportunity for in-depth, hands-on learning, games, and fun. A variety of classes for grades 1st – 8th (completed). $35.00.

Forays into the Field – August 6 – 10. A fabulous, week-long field camp for girls who have completed grades 8th – 11th. They’ll study geology, bacteria, physics, engineering and more with outstanding ISU professors. Cost: $125.00 (includes room/board and transportation). Museum classroom, ISU environs and Lost River Field Camp.

Family-Friendly Field Excursion – Portneuf Greenway/Valley Pride RiverFest Contact Kristin 282-2262

1. June 23, Saturday – Bird Walk along the Greenway. 8:00 – 9:00 am. Enjoy a morning bird walk along the river with local bird experts Ruth Moorhead and James Cleaver. Participants will learn how to identify common and uncommon birds that live along the Greenway by sight and song and observe fascinating behavior such as courtship displays, territory defense, nest building, and feeding. Meet at Taysom Rotary Park

2. June 23, Saturday - Native Idaho Birds display. 2:00 – 6:00. Learn more about the birds you see along the Greenway and why open space is important. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED. Can you help out?
