U.S. relief finally heads to Myanmar

Nine days after cyclone Nargis hit, the U.S. has been granted permission by the military junta to deliver relief supplies to Myanmar.

A C-130 military transport plane left Thailand’s Vietnam War-era U-Tapao airbase carrying water, mosquito nets and blankets. U.S. aid officials said they hope it will be the first of many U.S. flights to the army-ruled former Burma
